Food for Education (F4E) is an African-led, women-led social enterprise that uses technology, smart operations and logistics to provide low-cost, high-quality meals that improve nutrition and education outcomes for primary school children in Kenya.

We are growing quickly. Our mission is to scale models that prioritise efficient supply chain management and sustainable sourcing, so we can continue lowering the cost of school lunches. We have delivered over 40,000,000 meals since 2012 and are expanding to reach our goal of serving at least 1,000,000 public primary school students in Kenya every day by 2027.

Position Overview:


The Impact Associate will play a critical role in supporting the design, implementation, and analysis of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks with a strong focus on nutrition. The role involves assessing the impact of school feeding programs on child health, dietary diversity, and nutrition outcomes, while also contributing to data-driven decision-making and program improvement.


Key Responsibilities:


M&E Support


  1. Assist in designing, implementing and refining M&E frameworks, tools and methodologies aligned with the organizations Theory of Change
  2. Monitor program performance through the collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data
  3. Conduct field visits to support data collection and validation
  4. Train field staff and enumerators on data collection tools, processes, and nutrition-specific indicators.


Nutrition Analysis and Reporting


  1. Analyze the impact of school feeding programs on child nutrition, dietary diversity and health outcomes
  2. Provide insight into the relationship between school means and child outcomes
  3. Prepare regular reports, visualizations and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  4.  Collaborate with external research and evaluation partners to implement ad hoc survey
  5. Stay updated on best practices in nutrition, M&E and school feeding programs



Desired Candidate Profile 


  • Bachelors in Nutrition, Statistics or a related field
  • Proven experience with data collection, analysis and reporting tools
  • Prior experience working with school feeding programs or child nutrition is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition indicators and impact assessment  methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in G Suite 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like Powerbi, Tableau, SQL etc.
  • Familiarity with M&E tools and platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Passion for improving child nutrition and advancing evidence-based program impacts.
  • Ability to travel to project sites for fieldwork as needed
